Yamaha XSR155 Launches In India - Here Are The Price, Colour Options And Specs

Bro, I was doom-scrolling Insta, half-dead from work, when Yamaha’s official handle posted the XSR155 launch pics. My cold chai fell from my hand. ₹1.49L ex-showroom for a retro bike that looks like a 1970s café racer but rides like the R15 V4?? Take my money already.

I called my dealer at midnight (yes, I’m that guy). He picked up, half-asleep, and goes, “Bhai, kal subah 10 baje aa jao, first 5 bookings get free helmet.” I’m there. No questions.

Yamaha XSR155

Here’s everything you need to know before you empty your savings like me:

Price? Actually affordable

  • ₹1,49,990 ex-showroom Delhi
  • Bangalore on-road? ~₹1.65L after RTO + insurance (ouch but worth it)
  • Cheaper than MT-15. Yamaha what is this black magic??

Colours? I want all four

  • Metallic Grey – stealth mode activated
  • Vivid Red – traffic will part like the Red Sea
  • Greyish Green Metallic – my future baby, adventure vibes
  • Yamaha Blue – pure nostalgia, my dad would cry

All same price. No upcharge. Bless.

Engine & Performance = R15 in retro skin

155cc liquid-cooled, VVA tech, 18.4 PS, 14.2 Nm, 6-speed with slipper clutch.

  • 0-60 in <4 sec
  • Top speed ~140 kmph
  • 42-45 kmpl real world It’s a hooligan in vintage clothing.

Suspension & Handling

Gold USD forks + monoshock. Corners like it’s on rails. 134 kg wet — lighter than my gym bag.

Brakes & Safety (finally!)

  • Dual disc
  • Dual-channel ABS
  • Traction control On a 155cc retro? Yamaha said safety first, style second.

Features that made me yell at 12 AM

  • Round LED headlamp with DRL halo (retro but lit af)
  • Bluetooth LCD cluster (calls, SMS, navigation)
  • USB charging (no more dead phone on rides)
  • 10L tank = 400+ km range
  • Block tyres — rain? No problem.

Custom Kits (yes please)

  • Café Racer Pack: clip-ons, single seat, pure speed demon
  • Scrambler Pack: knobby tyres, taller stance, light off-road ~₹12k each. I’m doing café + green paint = chef’s kiss

Why I’m selling my Pulsar tomorrow

I’ve been on a 150cc commuter for 3 years. This XSR155 is:

  • Looks ✓
  • Power ✓
  • ABS + TC ✓
  • Under 1.5L ✓
  • Made in Chennai = easy service

TVS Ronin? Cute. Hunter 350? Heavy. This is the perfect middle child.

My midnight plan (don’t judge)

  1. Sell old bike (aiming ₹40k)
  2. Take ₹1.1L loan (sorry future me)
  3. Book Greyish Green + Scrambler kit
  4. First ride: Nandi Hills at 5 AM, sunrise pics, Insta flex

GO BOOK IT NOW. Intro price ends soon. Dealer said “stock khatam in 2 weeks.” I believe him.

Who’s joining the XSR155 gang? Tag your rider bros. Let’s flood the roads in retro glory.
